Hi my name is Matt, I’m an IT professional of 13 years (and counting). I’m writing this post and starting this blog to share my challenges and past experience’s of entering the IT industry. Like most people I graduated with a degree in Information Technology and entered the workforce. Little did I know how underprepared I was entering my first fill time IT job. It was a baptism of fire. The first 2 months I would be trained to an adequate level before jumping into the fire and begin my first professional IT job on the help desk, supporting an online e-commerce platform. In this blog, I’m going to share my journey on how I overcame challenges, conflicts and issues. I believe there are 100’s if not 1000’s or even 10,000’s like me that began a journey into this industry, felt lost and lacked a solid foundation at the very start. This blog is to provide that guidance at the very start, no matter what stage you are at on your IT professional journey.
